Matokeo Simba sc vs KMC LEO NBC Premier League


 The Simba Sports Club is a Tanzanian football team headquartered in Kariakoo, Dar es Salaam.

In homage of Her Majesty, the Queen of England, the club, which was founded in 1936 and split from another Tanzania Giants team, was given the name Queens. The club has been known as Queens, Eagles, and finally Sunderland. They were nicknamed Simba in 1971. (Swahili for “Lion”).

Simba SC is the most popular club in Tanzania based on fan base and social media engagement, followed by its competitors. Young Africans SC (Yanga) and Simba SC have won 21 league championships, five domestic cups, and competed many times in the CAF Champions League. In addition to being one of the largest clubs in East Africa, they have won the CECAFA Club Championship six times.

With over 5 million followers across all social media platforms, Simba SC is among the most followed African teams on social media. The club’s announcement to join TikTok in March 2022 garnered more than 10,000 followers in only three days. The club is also one of the wealthiest in East Africa, with a total budget of Sh 5 billion (about $2.1 million) announced for the 2019/2020 season,

Simba, also known as Wekundu wa msimbazi, plays its home games at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium. Simba was the fastest-growing Instagram account among football teams in 2022, with 3 million followers and an 89 percent increase from the previous year.

Tanzania National Main Stadium also known as Benjamin Mkapa Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Miburani ward of Temeke District in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It opened in 2007 and was built adjacent to Uhuru Stadium, the former national stadium. It hosts major football matches such as the Tanzanian Premier League and home matches of the Tanzania national football team.

With 60,000 seats it is the eleventh largest stadium in Africa and the largest stadium in Tanzania. It is owned by the Tanzanian Government. The stadium was built by Beijing Construction Engineering Group at a cost of $56 million.

A capacity crowd attended the first derby between Simba S.C. and Young Africans S.C. at the stadium in Dar es-Salaam 2008.[4] Both clubs mostly draw low attendances for their other league matches.
