KIKOSI CHA SIMBA DHIDI YA MBEYA CITY LEO
Tanzania National Main Stadium also known as Benjamin Mkapa Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Miburani ward of Temeke District in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It opened in 2007 and was built adjacent to Uhuru Stadium, the former national stadium. It hosts major football matches such as the Tanzanian Premier League and home matches of the Tanzania national football team and different clubs like Simba, Yanga, Azam and others in their international games.

With 60,000 seats and takes maximum 60,000 people to be full, it is the eleventh largest stadium in Africa and the largest stadium in Tanzania. It is owned by the Tanzanian Government. The stadium was built by Beijing Construction Engineering Group at a cost of $56 million.

In 2000, President Benjamin Mkapa promised to build a state of the art stadium before the end of his tenure in 2005; saying that it was shameful for the country not to have a modern arena. In January 2003, the government announced a tender for the construction of a new stadium to replace the dilapidated Uhuru Stadium. Sports Minister Juma Kapuya said that the government had set a budget of $60 million and eleven companies had bid for the project.

In 2004, Vinci Construction, a French company won the tender with a bid of $154 million. Simba Sports Club is a football club based in Kariakoo, Dar es Salaam Tanzania,
Founded in 1936, the club, which broke away from another Tanzania Giants, Dar Young Africans was named Queens, in honor of her Majesty, the Queen of England. The Club had several name changes from Queens to Eagles, then, Sunderland. In 1971 they were renamed Simba. Simba Sc is the first biggest club in Tanzania measured by fans base and social media activity followed by young Africans (Yanga). Simba SC is amongst the most followed African clubs on social media platforms with more than 5 million followers across all social media. In March 2022, the club announced to join TikTok and earned more than 10,000 followers in just 3 days. The club is also considered as one of the richest club in East Africa more than other club, with a total budget of Sh 5 Billion (equivalent to $2.1 million) unveiled for the 2019/2020 season.
